...Toby and Zach had haircut appointments this afternoon. I scrambled at the last minute to get the kids out the door and into the car, and then we headed over to the Barber shop. I pulled the minivan into a parking space, shut off the engine, and reached for my wallet in the diaper bag...but the wallet was not there. Grr!!! I quickly remembered when I had used it last--I had made an online purchase only three hours before, and my wallet was still resting on the kitchen chair at home.
I quickly ran inside to tell Barber Brian that I had to head back home for a few minutes and we'd be late for our appointment, but I wanted him to know that we wouldn't be a no-show. One nice thing about small-town living is that home was only a 6-minute drive, so after all that we returned to the Barber shop only 12 minutes late for the appointment. I was embarrassed and frazzled, but thankfully Brian didn't give me a hard time about it!
I snapped a few pictures with my phone during the haircuts. Toby and Zach LOVE to get haircuts (okay, they probably only love it because they know they get a sucker afterward), but you'd never know their excitement if you watched them during the cut. They are stone-faced, and almost mad-looking. So funny how getting a haircut is such serious business for them!
After the haircuts, we returned home to play outside on a gorgeous day! We had sunny skies, warm weather, and ...no wind! We had a great time out there! Then after dinner, I gave the boys a bath. Matt even joined the older two for a couple of minutes--this was his first bath without the baby tub--and he really didn't enjoy it! After a couple of minutes in the tub, Zach made a big splash, and poor Matt couldn't handle it--he started shrieking. Thankfully, though, I got a couple pics before Matt started crying!
