Snow!

The winter weather is quite mild here compared to the North, where we used to live, so we get quite excited when it does snow here. We received a blanket of snow on a February morning, and school was delayed by an hour. Toby spent that hour playing outside, helping Dan (and even our neighbor!) shovel snow off of the driveway.

By the time Toby came home from school, the snow was beginning to melt. However, we managed to venture outside and do some playing, and even made a snowman before it all melted. The boys had a fun day playing outside, followed by some yummy hot chocolate when we returned indoors.

Because we have ZERO trees, we had to get creative in making our snowman...his arms are made not out of branches, but of tumbleweeds!!! His eyes, nose, and mouth are rocks, and we decided he could be a cowboy snowman since we don't own a tophat--this is more fitting anyway, considering where we live. ;)
