Lifelight Festival 2009

We were home from Alabama for an entire three and a half days before packing up and leaving again--this time to South Dakota for a music festival. It was a fun-filled three days of sunshine and Christian music. The festival is always during Labor Day weekend, and draws over 100,000 people.

The clan--we met up with our friens, the Holms/Neils.
They camped on site, while we stayed in a hotel a few
miles down the road. They were kind enough to let us
park a cooler by their tents and also use their grill.

Sunday morning worship with Phil Joel.

Zach chillin' at the Newsboys concert.

The Newsboys concert, with new lead singer
Michael Tait, formerly of DC Talk. It was a very
different sound than the normal "Down Under"
Newsboys, but we still enjoyed it - even if most
of our friends didn't. The
Newsboys did several
old DC Talk songs, too, so we dubbed them
"NewsTalk".

Former Newsboys lead singer Peter Furler came
out and performed one song with them.
