Remembering Grandpa

Grandpa was always so much fun. He always sang the silliest songs to us kids, he let us put barettes in his hair while he played cards, he took naps on the floor while the boys drove their trucks all over him, and he always had the best stories and jokes. At my brothers' ball games, Grampa always gave me 50 cents to buy a candy bar--he was always so supportive of his children and grandchildren.

Grandpa loved his farm. Even after officially retiring, he always helped out my uncle, and then my brother as they farmed the land. In his last years, he was not always as helpful as in the past, but he was always such a hard worker, and his farm meant the world to him.

Grandpa was such a wonderful man, and a great husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He has left this world now for heaven, where I cannot wait to see him again. We will all miss you, Grandpa. We love you.
