Enjoying some ice cream after walking around a lake near the mountains.
Apparently there is an annual Hot Air Baloon festival over Labor Day Weekend. We trekked downtown to see all the balloons...if only we could have ridden in one!
View of the balloons from my in-laws' back deck. They will be moving soon, and I know they will miss their mountain view!
Watching silly youtube videos with Daddy and Uncle Dave.
The boys absolutely love Gracie (Grandma & Grandpa's labradoodle)
Fun with Grandma!
We spent Labor Day up in the mountains at a private lake/Bible camp. There were a few other families there when we arrived, but by the time we finished our picnic lunch, we had the place to ourselves. It was a fun, relaxing, and beautiful day! Too bad the water was freezing cold--the boys really wanted to go swimming. But actually, Toby didn't let the cold water stop him from having a great time--keep scrolling down to see pictures of him playing in the water!
Playing volleyball with Grandma and Aunt Anna.
Dan and Dave braving the ice cold water--they were thankful to find wetsuits!
Then there's Toby, who didn't have a wetsuit, and didn't care--he just wanted to play in the water! He loved it!
Zach kept pointing at the slide, wanting to go down. But he did NOT like the cold water! Once down the slide was too much for him--he came back shivering and screaming, poor guy!
Worn out from so much fun with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Dave, and Aunt Anna!
Even though we had to cut our trip short and didn't get to see all the friends and family we had planned to, the boys did get a great surprise the morning we left for Minnesota. They got to see their best buddies who moved away from us this summer! (See my post Saying Goodbye).
Best Buddies!!!
